What would i change
I like the Journalism curriculum at the University of Chile, however there are certain points that I would change according to my preferences. Being a feminist, I believe that to exercise good journalism you must have a gender focus in every job you do. Therefore, the Gender elective should not be optional, but mandatory and as important as the others, such as economics or law. On the other hand, I quite like photojournalism and I consider that our curriculum is not focused on the audiovisual area, so I would add more importance to this. Regarding the faculty facilities, there is much to change. The casino and library are too small for the number of ICEI students; the colors of the buildings are very muted; trees are missing, as there is never shade during the summer; and would add more entertainment spaces, such as chess boards, music devices, etc. As I already mentioned, the institute is far from having an audiovisual journalism approach: there are fewer cameras and recording d...
